Bay to Bay Running Festival

Sunday 14 June 2026

From its humble beginnings, Bay to Bay has grown to be one of the largest annual running events in regional NSW – this year we expect to top 6,000 entries and raise over $150,000 to donate to worthy local charities and community groups.

This event is a massive undertaking for the modest-sized Terrigal Trotters and each year we rely on our awesome team of volunteers. Can you help out? Please contact Neil Prosser, Race Director on director@baytobay.org.au

There are lots of places to help including at race starts, out on course and at the finish in Industree Group Stadium. It takes just half a day. Kids are welcome in many spots.

Great North Walk (GNW)

Sunday 20 September 2026

The GNW Trail Running Festival is one of Terrigal Trotters’ signature events, giving members the chance to experience, or help deliver, an iconic trail adventure through the stunning Brisbane Water National Park.

With 10 km, 30 km and 50 km courses, the event offers something for every level of trail runner, from those wanting their first taste of the Great North Walk to seasoned runners chasing a big challenge.

As a Trotter, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved: run, support your mates, or volunteer on course. We rely on our incredible member community to help with marshalling, aid stations, timing support and runner safety.

Whether you're tackling the trails yourself or giving back by volunteering, GNW is a rewarding day of teamwork, bushland beauty and Trotters spirit.

Central Coast Trail Series

The Central Coast Trail Series brings together trail runners across the NSW Central Coast for regular runs and events through bushland, beaches and scenic natural terrain.

It’s a community-focused series where locals meet to run, train, explore new trails and enjoy a mix of social and challenging courses. Races and training runs have included sections of the Great North Walk, coastal paths, and forest tracks — giving something for everyone from casual runners and families to seasoned trail-runners.

With each event often organised with a friendly, supportive vibe, it’s a great way to discover new trails and connect with fellow runners.

Safety

Important safety guidance for Terrigal Trotters members and visitors to ensure all club activities are conducted safely.

Duty of Care & Insurance

Terrigal Trotters has a duty of care to ensure all events are conducted safely and that Club insurance is not compromised.

The Club carries Third Party Insurance for members, but personal accident insurance remains each member’s responsibility.

Where to Run

Use footpaths wherever possible.

If it is necessary to use the road, run on the right-hand side facing oncoming traffic. No more than two abreast and preferably single-file.

You should consult the course map to ensure that you know the course directons and are aware of hazards present on the course.

Visibility & Clothing

Wear light-coloured clothing, e.g., white or yellow, so that you can easily be seen.

In rain or the dark, run on well-lit streets and roads. Most top brand shoes have reflective patches and, if you can, wear a reflective vest or attach reflective tape to arms and upper body.

Traffic, Cyclists & Road Rules

Obey ALL traffic rules. Cross the road at right angles and use pedestrian crossings if available. Ensure visibility in both directions.

NEVER cross against a red light at a signalled intersection. NEVER assume that a driver has seen you. Attempt to make eye contact and accept and acknowledge courtesy given.

Be wary of cyclists, who frequently cannot be heard, and many of whom use the wrong side of the road.

ID, Devices & Personal Safety

Always carry identification (an expired driver's licence is ideal) along with your emergency contact details, blood group and allergies.

Do not use headphones when running on roads, they impair you ability to hear traffic and cyclists.
